I am Karen. I am 36 and have 3 children. I am trying to lose weight so that I have more energy to keep up with my kids. 4/18/2011 So I have gained most of the weight back. Update - 5/2/2008 It took me 9 months but I was able to lose half the weight I wanted to take off. 20 pounds gone, I could have never done it without the support of sparkpeople! I have been at a standstill for about a month. (maybe a plateau, and I am sure the drinking and eating all I wanted in Mexico last week didn't help) I am finally back on track. My goals have been updated and I am ready to shave off the rest of this weight! Update: After 6 1/2 months I am now down about 15 pounds. I put on a few pounds over the holidays but they are starting to come back off now that I have gotten back on track. I feel great and am back on my journey of knocking away some more of this weight by April. I only have 3 1/2 more months to go! I have cut back on the wine and I am also trying to cut out a lot of the processed and high sodium foods that I have been eating lately to hopefully speed up my progress. Update: After 2 1/2 months I am now down 10 lbs and 2 pants sizes. This is the most progress I have made in years. Still hating the exercise but getting better. I am in my second week of the Spark 5k program and I can feel myself getting more fit. Since July 2007 I have lost 18 pounds with Spark People. My starting weight was 175 and I am down to 157 now. Starting now January 2009 I am on a quest to lose another 20 pounds. I am hoping to be down to 135 by July 2009. Weigh ins: Jan 16 - 155.6 Jan 23 - 156.6 Jan 30 - 156.6 Feb 6 -157.6 Feb 13 - 156 Feb 20 - 155.4 Feb 27 - 155.4 Mar 6 - 155.6 Mar 13 - 155.6 Mar 20 - 151.6 Mar 27 - 151 Apr 03 - 150 Apr 10 - 149.8 Apr 17 - 145 (was sick this week so this # may go back up) Apr 24 - 145.6 (didn't go up as much as I thought YIPPEE!!)
