Hi! My name's Karen. I live in DC and work in the non-profit industry. I tend to be happy with everything in my life - the work I do everyday, the friends I keep, the city I live in. But, when it comes to my body - I am easily swept into a feeling of depression and low-confidence.

I am on this site to help keep me connected to what is most important to me, my core: balance, health, fitness. I know that when I lose sight of my goals all else begins to quickly come unraveled at the seams.

I recently turned 28, and I'm feeling like I really need to make positive changes so that I can thoroughly enjoy these wonder years. I'm young, single, cute... I want to feel sexy, confident, happy. This starts with making healthy choices, which leads to losing weight, seeing results, and beginning to feel comfortable in my own skin again.

I plan to jump on here every day and would love to share my experiences with others. Please feel free to connect with me if you ever want to give/share stories about this sometimes easy and sometimes difficult journey.

Hey! I just joined yesterday as well! It looks like we have pretty similar goals - I am loving your marathon one! I will do that one day, but not yet!

Let me know if you want to be buddies and keep track of each other. It can be like a support/competition! haha.
