I love spring! The joy of planning my gardens .I love the first sign of the crocus, daffodil, and tulips pooping up, brushing away the dead and heavy cover to see the strawberries, chives,parsley and lavender emerge, the shoots of green buds on trees, and the robins returning, the morning sounds of the birds chirping.
Spring is a time of renewal. The weather gets warmer and the days grow longer allowing us time to get out doors and PLAY! Finding fun and exciting ways to enjoy the out of doors will invigorate and motivate you plus it changes your routine causing those pounds to drop. Try biking, rollerblading, trail hiking or geocaching. Play kick the can, skipping, or jump roping with the kids. Push strollers, walk dogs, climb fences. Join a league. Grow a garden. The possibilities are limitless.
Spring is a time of freshness. Start trying some new veggies and fruits. Drink lots of water. Give yourself a homemade facial or scrub your feet with an abrasive. Give your house a good cleaning. Get rid of the old.

Hello! Hello! Hello and HAPPY MONDAY! Time for my friendly weekly update.
Many of my friends had birthdays this last week. I hope each day as you get older, you get wiser too!
My marathon training is going. I get all my workouts in and even though I am slow, I amaze myself that I can walk/run over 40 miles in a week.
If you noticed, I changed my avatar. I really, really love DIsney World so I changed to a picture of Winnie and Tigger took last year. Funny thing is that I am not use to it yet and I keep wondering who it is when I see it.
Also in the news, I went to a party Saturday night. I am not the partying type but we are from New Orleans and friends had a Mardi Gras party. Wouldn't you know I was bad and from the cajun food, beer, and hurricanes I gained like 5 pounds. I know it will be gone in a few days, but geesh, can't I have some control. Good thing I only go to one party every three years. Oh, I also had a doozy of a headache on Sunday.
Well Wednesday starts Lent season and that is always good for a drop in five pounds(if you give up sweets)
