This October, only two months from now, I'll be turning the big 5-0. I struggled with my weight my entire life, losing and regaining more pounds than I care to think about. But thanks to SP and babysteps, I'm happy to say, I weigh about 45 pounds less than I did on the day I got married. And, because of a few healthy habits, I've been losing and/or maintaining for almost five years now! That's huge!!

300 total fitness ...

Fitness
300 total fitness minutes, which will include yoga at least 3x a week. No cardio but walking until September - doctor's orders.


Nutrition
-Recommit to drinking at least 9 glasses of water a day.
-Squeeze in veggies and fiber wherever I can.
-Dessert only once a week. (Still not consistent with this one.)


Focus
-Use my timer. Alternate active/still activities.
-Meditate, at the very least, on the days I don't do yoga.
-Do at least one module of my Tolle uncourse per week.

My Goals:
I just want to feel healthy and confident. My family history is not good, and I like to avoid the doctor as much as possible. I've been heavy and self-conscious my whole life. But no more!

My Program:
Lifestyle Changes:

-Portion control
-Water, water, water
-Reduced "bad" carbs
-More protein
-More fruits & veggies
-Some form of exercise most days. (Never skip 2 days in a row.)

Personal Information:
I live in the middle of nowhere, in Central Illinois.

Other Information:
I teach junior high special education. It's quite a challenge and a big source of fuel for my emotional eating. However, it's incredibly rewarding, and the vacations aren't bad!!!

Thanks for remembering me! I'm still alive, struggling hard at work and dealing with life while getting small doses of exercise and healthy food, but I really miss my Spark friends and will get back once work calms a little over Christmas. Changes being made now that might make me a less stressed person in a month or two. emoticon
