I'm in the process of learning how to be healthy. I want to lose 15-20 lbs and get my body back in shape. I'm going to work on being more active, eating healthier foods, and snacking less.

My Goals:
Although I'd like to lose about 10-15 more pounds, I'm more concerned about the inches I lose, because weight doesn't really mean a whole lot. I would like to get back down to a size 5 or 7 jean (in juniors). I'm also trying to increase my flexibility by doing yoga stretches. I want to get back in shape, and most of all, I want to be HEALTHY!

My Program:
I try to eat between 1200-1550 calories every day. I've cut back on drinking pop (I am ADDICTED to coke) and I make sure to drink plenty of water every day. I'll admit I'm a couch potato and definitely don't work out as much as I should, but I'm trying to get in the habit of playing Dance Central on a regular basis. Man, that game is a work out! I was a huge fan of Taebo in the past and I would like to start doing it again. The previous time I used it I could see a noticeable difference in a fairly short amount of time, and I could feel my body getting stronger with every session!

Personal Information:
My name is Kara and I'm 22 years old. I live in Missouri, yet long to escape from here (okay, it isn't really THAT bad, but still..) I have a degree in music education, but with the terrible economy I ended up finding a job teaching Pre-K. I love my job- I really have the best job in the world. Well, except for the pay! I'm engaged to the love of my life, Matt. We're in the midst of planning our wedding for next June!

Other Information:
I'm a total nerd, at least in the eyes of most girls. I love to play video games. My #1 favorite is Halo and I can kick some pretty mean ass. I also like Portal 2, Borderlands, Rock Band, Dance Central and anything Mario (more specifically YOSHI because he's my fav)! I just recently got into watching Star Wars and all I can say is how regretful I am that I didn't watch it sooner. I love politics and learning about religion (of all sorts!) but sometimes I can be a little too opinionated. My current hobby is practicing the piano, but in the past it has varied from crocheting to reading to biking.
