Keep up the good work in your efforts to eat healthier with your family. Both sides of my family LOVE to eat rich, unhealthy foods, so it's hard to stay on track when we're together. I have had some success though with making small changes. For example, my mom and I plan meals before cooking so that we know what we're having instead of just throwing something together when I visit.
We also don't sit around the tv when we eat (makes you want to eat more). In regards to the menu, I'll suggest small modifications that reduce some of the fat/calories. Most of the time if I cook, they don't even notice. Try some new recipes with your family or even something fun like some of the challenges they do on the Biggest Loser (guess how many calories are on this plate...). Some times when people become aware, it turns them off.
