I am Karen 50 yrs old a wife of 25years this May, 2 children 2 college students . Im from a big Irish Catholic family Im the baby in the family there are 8 of us.Im a prek teacher love my job its exhausting but I wouldn't trade it for anything. My main goal is to lose the weight and become the old sexy me! 42 pounds to go..... hope I can achieve it? Oh how haunting that number is ringing around in my head 42 ! Time will tell. I need to lose the weight for my dream trip to Ireland!

My Goals:
Goals : To be a healthier person this is my YEAR 2014 !! It's all about me. Fab at "50" ! Im working on getting back to 125lbs by may 2014! May we are going to Ireland my dream trip for our 25th wedding anniversary! I want to weigh less so I don't have to worry about getting around all the walking we are planning in Ireland I already have problems walking with my toes and breaking the ankle back in 2011 had 2 surgeries to correct the foot, but I still deal with problems . My husband is worried I wont be able to keep up on the trip /walking I don't care if Im limping this is my dream trip! I will walk everywhere getting the weight off will make it easier too! 5 months to go! 44lbs to lose

My Program:
re joined couch to 5k running 3 nights a week and for fun on Saturday I just signed up for a Thanksgiving 5K run! I cant wait my second 5k is thanksgiving day 2013 I did it, Im proud of myself for just doing it. my goal is to someday be able to run the Boston Marathon! ;)
My program is normally Kickboxing , boxing , turbo jam everyday 30-40 min except sundays, I like to run.jog , lift weights, and use billy blanks dvds to shadow box and get the cardio pumping

You asked me about the SP Nutrition Tracker. There are two ways to track it. Go to your page where you write down everything you eat. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. On the right side are several buttons, one says, "See today's full report." That will give you the basic nutrients in the program for each day in the past week. You can also go to "Trackers" then down to "my SparkPoints." On this page look for the item, "run report." This is designed to do at the end of the day but I run it several times during the day to make adjustments to my food choices to take care of a nutrient that I'm low in for the day. You can also add nutrients to your tracker which I have done for items I am particularly interested in. You can also ask your primary care doctor for a comprehensive blood test to check out what you body is doing in many nutrients. I have this done twice a year. As a result, my doctor lowered my "normal" for potassium so I adjusted my SP tracker down from what they had it. This tracker is a great tool in your goal for fitness.
Another button on your page says, "Add meals." I have added a "mid-morning snack" and an "evening snack." I love to end the day with a yogurt. It's my nightly ritual.

I'm SO excited for your trip! I know you're going to reach your weight loss goals and you'll be walking up a storm!! I hope your foot situation gets straightened out too. I know how it is to deal with ailments....at 40. Lol!! So it doesn't matter what age we are, it can happen to any of us. And you are the youngest 50 yr old I've seen! You look great!

I would love to travel myself. I've barely been out of the southeast. Lol. I know you're gonna have a great time and you're going to get to see where you came from and connect w/ your heritage! That is so exciting! I'm happy for you! I can't wait to see the pictures! Hope you have a great week and thanks for being a great friend! :) emoticon
