Now I'm ready for anything!

Like so many desk jockeys, I let weight creep on after finishing college and getting married, and finally realized that my lack of fitness was keeping me from living the life I've envisioned for myself. I've lost 55 pounds since joining SP in February of 2011, and along the way, I've discovered that I actually enjoy running (always hated it in high school PE!), and also discovered the magic of kettlebells. Lately I'm dabbling in Crossfit as well. Now I have a program that keeps me fit for ...

KAPELAKIN is doing pretty well with the hotel eating. Certainly better than eating out 3x a day, and. cheaper, too.

My Goals:
Healthy eating, and fitness. I'm just above my desired maintenance range right now, so focusing on getting stronger and faster, and letting the weight thing take care of itself at this point. my next goal is to run the Payette Lake 30K and do unassisted pullups. I'm toying with the idea of a marathon, but might save that for 2014.

My Program:
I mostly run outdoors in my neighborhood, and swing kettlebells. Lately I've also been dabbling with the Crossfit workouts, adding in more compound lifts, jumping, rowing and pullups. Food-wise, I try to eat as little processed food as possible and tend towards Paleo and Perfect Health Diet, though I refuse to totally give up anything!

Personal Information:
I live in beautiful Boise, Idaho with my husband, 2 dogs, chickens, and a horse.

Thanks for your HM encouragement! The race I signed up for is part of a "50/50" race. Historically, it's been either a 50K or 50 mile trail run, but a few years back they added a half-marathon race. The race is in about 8 weeks on May 18th and I've been following a training program by Hal Higdon.

Haha! "B*tchweasel" came from a book I read, and I thought it was hysterical! I've adopted it too!
