My name is Kasandra and I am 24 yrs old, follower of Christ, and Catholic. After much tears and pain, I believe that it is time to trust the Lord and leave this prison/fortress. I was hurt severely as a young girl so I used food and fat to protect myself from this dark and broken world. But now it has become too much of burden that will kill me. So I have turned to the Lord and learning to trust His will in guiding me through this world instead of hiding. I know that it will not be easy and that I may get some scratches and wounds along the way but I want to believe that I can trust Him with all my life and being. I am nervous, His love motivates me to go forward. I am looking for support, guidance, and motivation to continue on this path.

Un-attachment (as opposed to detachment) is the acceptance that each and every person is responsible for his or her own reality, and that our joy, peace, security, and sense of love is not dependent on any other person or situation. We are each responsible for our own emotional well being.
