Maintaining a healthy lifestyle...

I joined SP in April 2011. After graduating college in 2010 and leaving my student-athlete lifestyle behind (the one where you eat ramen noodles for every meal and binge drink yet remain relatively fit because you run/lift everyday) I decided it was time to 'get ahead' on my body before it lost its way; it's easier to STAY in shape instead of having to get BACK into shape.

I've been a vegetarian for 16 years! Maybe not the healthiest one though...SP has helped me to gradually ...

My Goals:
To be the first female at my box to do a muscle up by January 1, 2013. In order to reach this goal I will work my muscle up progressions after each Crossfit WOD.

To continue trying to eat new things. (Im' a super picky eater...trying to expand my palate)




My Program:
Roughly 1500 calories a day
less than 45g of Fat
less than 200g of Carbs
more than 80g of Protein

Stronger Faster Healthier (S.F.H.) Protein

Amazing Grass Super Greens (to make up for those that I don't eat)


Crossfit 5X a week!

The first class I went to at the gym I teamed up with a girl who normally goes to the 6am class, not the 6pm class. I tried 6am a few days later and she was nice, but 6am is not my class. Next class I teamed up with a girl who was doing a drop in, since she was visiting the area for work. Tonight I met a girl just restarting crossfit and a girl who works with a lady from my old box, so I'm hoping that helps. I cheered on the girl restarting and 2 other girls joined me... so people can/will be more community driven. Since some people are in on Groupon's I'm wondering if people are not trying to get to invested with people that are leaving in a month or two... we shall see.

Hey! Thanks for visiting my page and commenting - yah, I too played boys hockey growing up (am talking the 70's and 80's timeframe lol) ... quit at about age 13 then took it up again with the ladies as an adult :) LOVE IT!!!!!
