I think I Can, I think I Can...

Updated 1/17/13- Well, I managed to lose a little weight since I started. I had a LONG, frustrating plateau that I did eventually break through. I am going to try to keep plugging along and hopefully be at goal by the end of 2013. In August '13 I will turn 35 and how awesome it would be to start my 36th year off in onderland!!! That is my new goal for now 199 or below by 8/7/13. Also, I really want to work toward my goal of running this year. There are a few 5k events in my area and I would ...

I'm 33 years old and have been severely overweight for about 11 years now. This September (2012) is my husband and my 10 year anniversary. We are planning on going on a cruise and although I know 5 months is not nearly enough time to reach my ultimate weight loss goal of 100 pounds(more, I've already lost 20), I would like to get a good start on it. i have 3 beautiful children and want to be able to run and play with them and set a good example for them and show them that you can achieve your goals if you put in the work. My oldest is almost 9 and I have already spent his entire life being obese and not running and playing with my kids the way I want. Also, secretly, want to run a 5K or maybe further. This is a very strange desire for me. I have never really been a runner, especially for distance. I did a lot of running when I played soccer but that is a completely different type of running.

Thanks so much! I am worried that I might not hit it this week, I have been doing okay but my body likes to mess with me. I know I'll get there, just not sure if it'll be when I want it to. :/
