Skinny Journey of a College Girl
I'm Kaycee, and I'm your average college student. I am a real outdoors girl, and love to spend most of my time outdoors. I ride horses, and like boating, kayaking, camping, hiking, and basically anything else that involves the outdoors. I grew up in the PacNW, which is probably WHY I love the outdoors so much. I also love to cook, which is very fortunate because I can tailor food to fit my needs, and homemade is so much tastier (and more affordable). I will spare you the details ...
I will spare you the details here (read my blog if curious), but I realize I have a very unhealthy relationship with food. There are a plenty of reasons for that, but none very important because all of those factors are no longer present in my life. In other words, I no longer have any "excuse". So here I am. It's been a bumpy journey so far, but now that I finally understand that I need to work on my relationship with food (which I previous did not realize), I can move forward with much more ease.

My Goals:
My goal is to weight 135, be at least a size 6, and have measurements of approximately: 34,26,36. These sound like dramatic goals but they are realistic for me, especially because I have been there before. Actually I was a size six at more like 145lb so it will be interesting to see what goes on at 135lb again (because I can't truly remember). In truth what is most important to me is to develop a healthy relationship with food and also with exercise. If I do that, I know that weight loss will follow.
My Program:
My program mainly focuses on having a healthy relationship with food. I have a problem with eating too much when I am bored, or even when I am not bored, to have a snack, and say "oh wow that was really good." and because it was so good I want more, and will eat way to much. I really need to focus on eating a single serving, saying I am satisfied and not eating anymore. I have to continually remind myself "You can have another piece tomorrow" even for simple things like my favorite breakfast (cream of wheat with reduced sugar raspberry jam, and light butter). It's a process but I am gradually working on it, and when I do suceed with this, I know that my weight problems will go away (although I will still have to get there first).
Personal Information:
I live in Olympia, WA but go to school in Tacoma, WA at Pacific Lutheran University. I am going to be a sophomore and I enjoy every last moment of it -- outside of class. I do enjoy my classes though and I am working on a computer science degree. Yay for nerds!
Other Information:
Well, I'm pretty much a Harry Potter and Dan Brown addict. (And because I'm a little english "nerd", I do enjoy researching what I'm reading, so I've learned a lot about mythology from harry potter, and it's been interesting learning about the real stuff that da vinci code is supposively based on). I also love riding horses. I have a horse named Coda, and she's an amazing 15.1 hh red roan Quarter Horse. I love her to pieces, and we love to chase cows, run fast, and even do a bit of western equitation. She has a really nice lope and is awesome to ride bareback!
