My Name is Jaime and I'm making another attempt at this whole weight lose thing. I have a love/hate relationship with food. I love it bc there are so many great dishes out there waiting to be eatten and you need it to live and be healthy, but I hate it bc as the old saying goes...."Too much of a good thing is bad" Aint that the truth :(

My husband & I have three beautiful daughters. After the youngest was born I had a lot of weight to lose. I gained so much with her. I did in fact lose 40lbs of the 50 that I gain :) GO ME!! But I still have a long way to go bc I didnt lose much weight from the other two kids.
I sorta hit a stand still in my weight loss. Ok I got lazy. Might as well be honest here. I was doing the P90X and that really helped me with the 40lbs that I lost. But I got a little bored. I had started to do zumba, but then we had to move due to a new job for my husband. We were so excited! Anyway so alot of that got put on hold.
I started a new mini goal for myself. I blog about it everyday and its titled "My 6 mile a day Journey".
My plan is to walk/jog 6 miles everyday for 3 months. thats 42 miles in a week, 168 miles in a month and at the end of month 3 (june 29th 2013 for me) that will be 508 miles. Sounds like a crazy number, but thats what I like about it. I'm going to try my damndest to make that goal. Why not? If you want you can follow me by reading the blogs and see how I do. See if I'll make it or not. Will I?? I hope so!!

I have got back on track and so far have lost 13 pounds. I walk or ride my bike everyday and have been doing great with my diet. I hope things go well for you! Good luck! :D

Thanksgiving Blessings

T - Is for the Tons of Blessings that I receive each day.

H - Stands for these Hands that fold, when I begin to pray.

A - Means all the Awesome powers our Lord has from above.

N - Stands for His Never ending patience and His Love.

K - Is for the Kindness and forgiveness He has shown.

S - Stands for the Sweetest gift of love we've ever known.

G - Means the Amazing Grace that God bestowed on me.

I - Says I can't imagine, without His love, just where I'd be.

V - Is for (Victory in Jesus), just like that song of old.

I - Means I'll do my best, to lead lost sheep into His fold.

N - Is for the nails driven through our Savior's hands.

G - Stands for God's Greatest Gift, His Son's life for mortal man.

Hi Jaime, hope you are having a fine day. Just read this and thought it was good, so I wanted to share it with my spark friends.

“A lesson from the lawn.”

Imagine if a blade of grass decided it had had enough. It was done with having its head snipped off every weekend and its seeds – its future – cut off in their prime. Who could blame it?

Yet, what does that ol’ blade of grass do? It doesn’t say: “I give up! I’m getting nowhere!” It just keeps on growing. It continually takes in the energy from the sunlight and converts carbon dioxide from the air into food to make more leaves and more seeds.

A blade of grass is resilient. We too, can learn to be as resilient as the grass. We may be cut down on a regular basis, yet our strength is in standing up, dusting ourselves off, and starting all over again. Even when grass is covered in concrete, it finds a way to grow up through the cracks.

And, so must we.

We need to take a “leaf” out of the grass’ book. Connect with our own resilience and keep on going. And with God's help and grace we will make it!

The Knots Prayer

Dear God:
Please untie the knots
that are in my mind,
my heart and my life.
Remove the have nots
the can nots and the do nots
that I have in my mind,
Erase the will nots,
may nots,
might nots that may find
a home in my heart.
Release me from the could nots,
would nots and
should nots that obstruct
my life.,
and most of all,
Dear God,
I ask that you remove from my mind,
my heart and my life all of the 'am nots'
that I have allowed to hold me back,
Especially the thoughts that I am not good enough

Failure in CANT'S!

No one has ever succeeded at anything significant by believing that it couldn't be done. The very first step towards success is to believe that trying makes sense:


The task can be accomplished.
The reward can be earned.
The goal can be reached.
It CAN be done.

It is NOT unrealistic to believe that our journey CAN be done. In fact it is a necessary component of success to believe it can be done.
