A New Way of Living

I'm a 23 year old Canadian-born Filipina. I have been overweight (which,what feels like) all my life. I weigh 245lbs and I am 5'2 in height. I am diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythmatosus (2006) as well as with Fibromyalgia(2008). I have been trying many different things to lose weight but have not found much success. I was born under Filipino traditions that leads me to eat rice about 3 times a day.Gym memberships are very costly and are hard to maintain. My goal is to lose weight and be at a ...

My goal is to lose weight and be at a normal body weight range according to the BMI . I'm not looking to do it immediately, but I want to learn overtime a new way of living so I can be more healthy. I want to prove that with any illness, sadness, and downfalls in life..people can still get up and achieve what they want in life.

My Goals:
-Stay positive
-Eat Healthier
-Exercise at least 3x/week
-Lose 100lbs
-Stop drinking sodas
-Drink 8 glasses of water/day
-Avoid eating out/take-out dinner
-Limit to eating rice to 2x/day

My Program:
I am following whatever I can on this site. I am also cutting down on my rice consumption and drinking more fluids.
I am also attempting to go to the gym at least 3X/week. I am following the website for exercise routines.

Other Information:
I love to read. My favorite author is Mitch Albom. I have also read the "Twilight" Series and loved it.
