Time to get fit and save my life

At 62 and very overweight, I find it is time to get my life back on track. I need to loose 80 lbs and from what I see of this site this is the place to get help and encouragement. I am lucky in that my 26yr old daughter has agreed to work out with me 3 days a week so we can help keep each other on track.

Thanks for the idea of the cauliflower. I'll try that next time. I do like my vegetables crunchy like how they serve it at red lobster, but no matter how little water I steam them in, they tend to be too soft.

Welcome! Sparkpeople will help you lose as much or little as you want to lose. I am down over 80# now with less than 20 to go. It has been relatively painless, but I am highly disciplined. The most important thing you can do is TRACK EVERYTHING! If you put it in your mouth, write it down! You can do this!
