My Life Changing Events...
Hello ... I'm Kris. My story is that I used food to ease my stress & boredom. And would eat just for the taste , even if I was full. So over the years I got bigger and bigger. And it didn't help that my husband would make remarks about calling Jenny Craig or putting up articles from fitness magazines. I wasn't motivated and sank deeper into depression & tried to eat myself happy. I didn't really know how much I had used food as my crutch until this ...
Hello ... I'm Kris. My story is that I used food to ease my stress & boredom. And would eat just for the taste , even if I was full. So over the years I got bigger and bigger. And it didn't help that my husband would make remarks about calling Jenny Craig or putting up articles from fitness magazines. I wasn't motivated and sank deeper into depression & tried to eat myself happy. I didn't really know how much I had used food as my crutch until this past Christmas when family pictures were taken.. ( I avoided being in pictures for many years)...I was shocked at how big I had gotten. So I made a decision to change my life & lose the weight. I GOT UP...GOT OUT...& GOT MOVING !! Now instead of sleeping all day or vegging in front of the TV I go to the gym Monday - Friday. And I have a walking buddy,when weather permits we walk 2-5 miles every day. I do take a prescription called Adipex. It boosts my metabolism & gives me more energy. But it is not for everyone and I am not promoting weight loss medication...I'm just listing it as one of the "helping aids" in my weight loss. I am happy to be a part of the Spark People Community. And want you to know your not alone. There are people out here who care and want to help! And remember it's not a "Diet"...it's a "LIFESTYLE CHANGE!!" So what are you waiting for ? GET UP .....GET OUT.....AND GET MOVING !!

My Goals:
To finally get back to a healthy weight of 170 (I'm 5'10" so that's a good weight for me) and to be healthy for mine and my families sake. I want to look in the mirror and love who I see..
My Program:
I do an Aerobic class called Zumba 3x's a week And I do cardio aqua aerobics 2x's a week I walk 2 miles 6x's a week (weather permitting) And 2x's a week I do various nautilus machines strength excercise's.
Personal Information:
I live in NW Arkansas. I am 40 yrs old have two children and embarking on a divorce (and no it's a good thing if you read my bio.lol) I am a fun person with a great personality and sense of humor. I'm petty laid back. I'm a bit of a nerd at times but hey thats cool to me! LoL...Well guess that's all I can think of for now. So drop me a line or comment anytime!
