I joined spark people I'm trying to support my girlfriend in meeting her weight loss and fitness goals and get in better shape myself to reduce genetic risk for diabetes.

Casually training for a 5k on June 20th. (don't have much running experience but I'm in decent shape.

My girl friend and I are on the south beach diet but I cheat alot because I don't want to lose weight. My goal is to only have healthy things in the house and after she meets her weight loss goals ...

My Program:
My first training run was 3 miles in 27 min. on fairly flat terrain.

Next goal:
3 miles in 27 min. on hilly terrain.

Future goals: (1 goal a week repeat all goals on hilly terrain later in week)
3 miles in 24 min.
4 miles in 36 min.
5 miles in 45 min.
4 miles in 32 min.
3 miles in 21 min.
Run Race at 21 minute pace
