I'm a 30-something / thyroid cancer survivor / full-time Consultant / part-time Wonder Woman looking to live a healthier lifestyle and get motivated by all you lovely Sparkers out there in Internet-Land.
I've struggled with my weight ever since I was a child. When I was about 8, I remember an older family relative tell me that I was chubby. I felt crushed and since then, have had difficulty with my body image. Though, looking back at old photos from childhood, I now think, "Dang. I looked like a regular 8-year-old kid. I wasn't fat at all!" I just let myself listen to someone else's silly opinion of me.
I lost weight in 2006 through WWs and got down to an impressive 128.. but didn't like the weekly meetings and weigh-ins. In short, I got lazy and stopped going to meetings. ;) My weight gradually crept back up after a cancer diagnosis, being laid off from my job, and some other annoying life things that I let get in my way.
Part of my current challenge is learning to love myself the way I am *right now*. It certainly isn't easy, but I try. :) I try my best to tune out the "ideal images" of women that I see on the tube and in magazines. (Pffft! They're all airbrushed!) Another area that I'm working on is to give myself compliments and acknowledge (and believe!) the compliments that others give to me.
Other than that, I'm a somewhat geeky (okay, very geeky) and spontaneous person. I believe that when the going gets tough, a sense of humor is a must! I love to make others laugh and delight in the strange little things in life. I enjoy connecting with new people and love to inject some humor and zany goodness into ordinary life situations. :-) That's me in a nutshell. Enjoy surfing my page!

Pack my lunch more often
Eat out less
Cut out artificial sweeteners and icky processed foods
Cut out foods that contain HFCS
Increase my physical activity
Eat more fruits and veggies
Utilize the network here on SP for motivation, inspiration, and encouragement
Adopt healthier eating habits
Make some new friends along the way :-)
Interests -- Running, making things out of beads, spinning, karaoke, hiking, board games, sudoku, cartoons, swimming, anything outdoors-y, anime, old video arcades, spending time with family and friends, snorkeling, stickers, blogging, true crime tv shows (Cold Case Files, Forensic Files, Arrest & Trial, etc), ghost tv shows (A Haunting, Ghost Hunters, etc), event planning, anything 80s, video games, beach combing, lounging, writing, baking, freecycling, MEETin.org..
... the list just goes on from there. ;-)
