Time to focus

Hi, my name is Shannon, and I'm a 37 year old wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. I've always been fairly fit, and have maintained a good diet, but somehow over the last 3 years, I've slowly gained weight, and started to sag. :( I'm trying to lose about 30 pounds, and re-gain the energy I once had. Update August 10, 2011
I've met my goal of losing 30 pounds, and now I'm working on the last 5. I completed my first triathlon on August 7th, and it was a wonderful experience! I can't wait to do my next one :)

Update October 9, 2012
I had met and maintained my goal weight for a time, and then the planning of my wedding aided me in losing focus. I've created some healthy habits, so the stress wasn't tragic, but I'm now 7 lbs over my goal weight, and I'm not in nearly as fit as I was. The wedding is over, and was wonderful! I think I rocked the dress even with the extra weight :)

Update January 13, 2013
I'm back to the maintenance stage, and I will be one of the 5% who keep it off. I was going hard core to the gym and pumping a lot of iron, but have decided for my own sanity to throttle it back. I have a very healthy diet, and will continue to be active, just with the outdoors and my family rather than surrounded by four walls.

I do intervals on a treadmill, and I've begun cycling, and I love it!!

Personal Information:
I'm from Southern Ontario, and consider myself a small town girl. I like sports, hanging with my family and having bevvies with my friends. The last being my biggest obstacle to weight loss!

Other Information:
Without struggle there is no progress.
