Looking to Become Stronger

I'm back after 6 years. Now I'm older and looking back, I've accomplished some of the goals I set out for myself and am still working on some others. I've skydived, hiked, and traveled around the world. Still have to work on my strength and body image after first losing and then gaining weight as well as my career. I'm grateful for all the blessings I have and trying to keep optimistic. It's not always easy!

Hi, I'm my late-twenties and live in NYC. I want to improve my lifestyle and become more athletic. I want to be the damsel who isn't in distress and the girl who isn't winded after running for about like a minute.

Eventually, I want be strong/brave enough to do outdoor activites like kayaking and hiking or maybe even more adventurous things like hang gliding or skydiving. Maybe rock climbing (not sure about this one), sounds scarier than skydiving for some reason!

My Goals:
Run 2 or 3 blocks without feeling out of breath.

Do a pushup.

Make changes to live and think more healthy.

Become the person I want to be and make less excuses.

Climb a mountain someday.

My Program:
I'm controlling my portions because they were crazy large before. I really like feeling satisfied after a meal. I'm looking to try some new recipes. Got to be careful because some foods don't agree with me. Hopefully, they will be tasty and healthy at the same time.

Welcome to our world - glad to know you tested negative for CD, too. You're fortunate, but it doesn't mean you're not sensitive ... do you feel better with the reduction in wheat? Consider reading my blog for CD diagnosis stories - maybe something will click. And you sound young - this is something you could still "grow" into .... it might be good you're light on wheat in that regard. Good luck on becoming the person you WANT to be! I want to find my inner strength again, too. So far, so good! More power to ya!
