Journey to 10,000 Steps

I am very heavy, very tired, and very achey, single mother of two. I've tried everything but common sense steps. ( I've tried that too but never for very long.)

This time my ultimate goal is to be healthy...more than weight or size. I once read to be active I needed to walk 10,000 steps a day. I'm not sure if that will include the actual 10,000 steps or other, more exciting activities.

I want to be able to say "I am active!"

Accountability is something I've always struggled with, both with myself and when I'm accountable to others. I'm very stubborn and don't like being told what to do, or having my faults pointed out to me. Even when my husband is trying to remind me of good habits, I catch myself getting annoyed with him, despite me asking him to do so in the first place. I'm also too good at rationalizing! "I spent an hour on the treadmill today, and that cookie looks reallly good, so a couple of bites won't make a difference!" Yeah, that's a really bad thought pattern to get into. lol I completely understand accountability being difficult and scary!
