Hi, I'm Julie! Welcome to my SparkPage!

I am a 40 year old mother to three boys (14, 16 and 20). When I turned 30, I started gaining a few pounds. Then at 36, I made a huge life change and quit smoking! One of my biggest accomplishments to date! I have been smoke free for almost four years. However, when I did that, I definitely used food as my new crutch and really started to gain a lot.

My Goals:
To lose 30 pounds and maintain it!!

I would also like to connect with a few people with similar goals to help keep me on track.

My Program:
1200-1500 calories. I am tracking every bite I eat for accountability.

Personal Information:
I am just getting back into it after dropping off. I lost 30 pounds with SparkPeople almost 2 years ago and then found myself in a "stressful" time of life. I gave up and gained all of the weight back. This time, I want to lose it (because I know I can!!) and keep it off!

I just seen your post on my page from back in April. Yeah I know...I need to keep on track. I have hit it hard these last couple weeks, but I only see inches decreasing, but not the scale. I also know that the number on the scale is not everything. I need to keep staying focused.

I am glad to see that you have stayed more on track and are being very successful.

Thank you for you comment. It helps to know others know I am trying and still on a weight loss goal.

Julie, back in March you shared an idea to use at my son's graduation party (the 3 x 5 cards, words of advice or a memory). I just wanted you to know that everyone had fun with it. It was a novel idea. I heard other mothers stating that they were going to do the same thing at their parties next year! Once again, thanks!
