Hi! I'm Julie, aI'm a single mother of a 4 year old little girl. I have been pretty fit most of my adult life, but have gained about 25lbs over the past year and a half. Hi! I'm Julie, aI'm a single mother of a 4 year old little girl. I have been pretty fit most of my adult life, but have gained about 25lbs over the past year and a half. I became a lazy couch person and was gorging myself with junk food just from boredom and not really caring. In the past whenever I gained weight I could shed it in a couple months by simply being conscious of the food I eat and hitting the gym. This time the weight has just stuck to me! I've had a few spurts of putting forth more effort, but after a couple months of zero progress I would give up. I guess with age being a factor, everything that used to work doesn't work for me now. Everything and everyone keeps saying counting calories is the way to go. I was always afraid to do it that way because it seemed like a gateway to obsessive and unhealthy behaviors. But... in just one week of adding calorie counting to my strategy I have lost 6 pounds!!! Crazy!!! I have been busting my butt for a couple months with no progress, but 6 lbs in one week.... I'm hooked!!! =)
