Welcome to my page. I am 54, married with 3 kids and two Grandsons. Two of my kids are adults and have moved away long ago. I have an 16 yr old daughter at home and and I would love to have more energy to do things together with her. Weight has always been a problem for me but never as bad as it now. I had my last child at 38 and I put on a lot of weight and have kept putting it on ever since. Now I really have to try to get rid of it. I want to be healthy and have more energy. I joined spark people years ago but have been away for quite a long time. Now I'm ready to start over again.

I love my computer but we spend way too much time together.
I love to read especially on my ereader, couldn't live without it.
I like to make rosaries.
Most of the things I love involve sitting. Exercise is something I really need to work on.
My biggest weakness is my love for chips and dip.
Oh and pizza...love pizza!

    HA! ALMOST as needy as men. Awesome. Mom is doing fine. We go to see the foot doctor this afternoon. She's hoping she can get rid of the wheelchair and take a real shower. I think it's too soon, but we'll see what the doctor says.

    95% humidity here today. My hair is so big it looks like somebody sent a bolt of electricity through me. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I got an answer to the tracking question from another Sparkie who tracks Leslie Sansone. She's the woman who does the in-home walking DVD's. I use those when the weather is bad.

    I did okay. Lost another 2 pounds. I'm sure this is about to slow down. The first 2 weeks are always pretty good cuz I have so much to lose and cuz I'm so focused on eating and exercising. Now the trick is to keep the momentum going.

    I've decided no on the dog for now. Maybe when I'm a little more fit and active. Right now I'm running all the time and hopefully in the next couple of months I'll have a part-time job. Pluuuusss, I'm not sure I want the responsibility. It feels really good just being responsible for me (and sometimes my mom).

    Lookit you, sneaking up on my page when I'm not looking. It's going pretty good for me right now. I've started walking every day - usually 40 minutes or more outside. The weather has been perfect. Yesterday between the hospital and not feeling well, I didn't walk. Couldn't wait to get back out there today. I'm not meeting my calorie, carb, protein and fiber goals (too low), and getting too much fat. But I'm making healthier choices and I don't crave anything. Pizza - 2 slices per week. That's it. Pasta - as a side dish only. Candy - switched from Snickers to Lindt 70% dark chocolate, and I usually only have 1/2 a serving. Plus having braces makes me not want to eat anything. Uncomfortable chewing, and a pain cleaning. I've joined a few more teams and have a couple of people helping me to stay accountable, so that helps. I'm spending too much time on Spark, though. Might need to back off a little bit if it continues. Aren't ya glad ya asked? Ha!
