What's up, JF? I started volunteering at the library this week. It's been fun. I usually go in for a couple of hours and straighten up and help people find books. The atmosphere is SO different from what I'm used to. Way less stress, and the ladies are all very nice. I'm very hopeful that this will lead to a part-time paid position and soon!
Mom saw the foot doctor today. Her healing is going extremely well. Dr. took out the stitches and says one more week in the wheelchair and she can go back to walking. She can shower now without wearing the rubber boot to keep her foot dry. Very exciting.
I'm so busy lately! I dragged out my old keyboard and have been practicing a little so I can play for the inmates (that's what my mom calls them) at the assisted living center where she lives. Some regular stuff, and soon some Christmas tunes.
I'm looking at a crochet project (blanket) and have crocheted a swatch to see if my gauge is correct. Looks good, and I think I understand the pattern. All that's left is to buy the yarn.
I'm also thinking about writing again. Years ago I took a correspondence course and loved it. And did sell an article to a magazine. I would love to get into that again.
And of course I'm reading. Right now I'm reading Relentless by Dean Koontz. I can hardly put it down.
I'm off soon to Adoration. I'll say some prayers for you. Congrats on not gaining any weight! I only hope that's the worst that happens to me this week. 449 days ago
