A healthier me

I'm a mom of 2. I just had my 2 child Jan. 2012. I need to get in better shape and lose this weight. I want to be able to keep up with my kids not sit around and watch them play or have to stop playing with them because i'm tired. I work part time. Before I got pregnant I lost 32 pounds! I lost 6 more during the first 6 weeks. After I had my baby I was lighter then I was before I got pregnant. Now i've gained 20 pounds so it's time to get back on track. Hi!

I added you as a friend after reading your blog. I hope that you'll check out my story on my page and add me.

Also, I'm walking and timing it, and I'm pretty close to your speed - I think - so maybe we can motivate each other. A little "healthy" competition. I usually do 30 minutes a day and *then* check for distance, but I also can track my 1 mile time. You interested?

Welcome! I read your blog and you are doing great! Sometimes people change too many things at once, get frustrated and quit. You seem to have the right idea changing a few things at a time.

The people here will lift you up when you are down and celebrate your victories on and off the scale. The is a ton of information in the articles, trivia and quizzes. Do as much as you have time for, you will learn a lot!

I find it is very important to have ways to measure your successes OFF the scale. The scale can be very evil, despite your best efforts. It is really important to other ways to measure your success (like how your clothes fit, mood, healthy habits, etc) when, not if, the scale doesn't move as you would like.

Keep up the great work! Eat less, move more! You CAN do it!
