The Road to success is not straight.
There is a Curve called Failure,
A Loop called Confusion,
Speed Bumps called Friends,
RED LIGHTS called Enemies,
and Caution Lights called Family.
BUT- IF you have a Spare called Determination,
An Engine called Perserverance,
Insurance called Faith, and..
A Driver called Almighty God,
You WILL make it to a place called Success!

Like the turtle I go really slow, but in the end the job gets done!
My goals are small, but I am working on breaking old habits and making new ones!
Remember, That the Joy is in the Journey.
On some of my SP teams they use this "10 things about me" so you can get to know people better. I thought it was a good idea to use for my personal information area.
“Ten Things about Me”
1. I live in Colorado
2. I have been married for 23 yrs. to a great guy who says I always look good. (I think he is partial!)
3. I have 3 children (20, 18, 16)
4. I just turned 57, oh my!
5. I live in the country,25 miles to the nearest city.
6. I also live in town.
7. I did the AVON Walk for Breast Cancer in June 2010, and I made it! All 39.5 miles

Welcome to the 12 Weeks to Walking Team. It's a very diverse group from all over the world! Some can't walk 100 steps and some are doing 5K Walks. Look over the 3 levels, Best Foot Forward, Beginner and Intermediate and decide where you should begin. Print off the schedule in the level you choose and just start walking with us...if you're more advanced than Intermediate there is a new level called Moving On but most people start in the Intermediate thread for the first 12 Weeks!
Let me give you a brief introduction to some of the team members. Sassy aka JACKSGRAN and MADMIRANDA are from the London area. Eliz aka NOWYOUDIDIT lives in Minnesota, has a blog about her life as a saint and is very encouraging. Stacy aka MADEIT3 is a great inspiration and motivator and she is from rural Kansas and she is getting ready to retire January 15. SHAKESALOT posts beautiful photos of her walks from Virginia. Linda (me) is from Montana. IAMAGEMLOVER aka Bonnie is from Connecticut. CANADIANFROG09 aka Ane Marie and HARROWJET aka Judy and DONNELDA22 aka Donna are all 3 from Ontario, Canada. I've got a world map I just hung so I can keep track of all the places in the world we have team members walking!! STEVEN2GO2 occasionally posts from southwest PA. COSMICWATCHER aka Joanna is from Greece. NZJAXX aka Jackie, posts her summer messages from New Zealand while we are suffering this long winter! We'll be waiting to learn all about what you see as you walk along on this journey with us!! We want to hear all about what you see and hear where you walk. We get lots of weather reports and snowfall reports. Those things are posted in the "Walking with Purpose" thread. Hopefully those is southern climes will warm our winter weary lives in a few months. Hope you'll join in the geography lesson!
Please let us know if there is anything at all that we can do for you! We hope you'll be active in posting and blogging. Glad to have you along on this journey! Please stop by "Introduce Yourself to the Team" thread and introduce yourself! "General Chatting" is self-explanatory! and you can check out the "Dance" thread for some funny dance videos for extra fitness for days you aren't walking...or book reviews from Steven and Stacy. I think you'll find we're a rather wild and crazy bunch...and we have a lot of fun!!
P.S. If you've signed up for the team digest and spark mails I will be posting your spark page thread and the other team members will stop by and welcome you! Looks like you do a lot of walking! You may be a bit advanced for us but we're glad to have you along on the journey!!
