I'm just trying to get back in shape after some meds messed up my metabolism! I weaned off Cymbalta a few years ago, and within a week I couldn't zip my jeans. It took about 3 months for it to plateau, and I gained a total of 40 lbs., leading to a total of almost 200 lbs. at my highest. I'm just trying to get back in shape after some meds messed up my metabolism! I weaned off Cymbalta a few years ago, and within a week I couldn't zip my jeans. It took about 3 months for it to plateau, and I gained a total of 40 lbs., leading to a total of almost 200 lbs. at my highest. (Before the gain I weighed approximately 160, though I would like to get back to at least my wedding weight of 150, or even 140!) The sudden gain was all due to the effect of the lack of serotonin in my body slowing my metabolism, as my eating habits had not changed at all. I'm also a writing & editing consultant and social media manager/moderator. I work from home, and sit at my desk or on my couch for way too long!

My Program:
My husband got us a Wii Fit for Christmas (2008), and I am having a blast using that to get into a regular fitness routine, in addition to other exercises. Also got EA Active Sports for my birthday (Aug. 2009). Now have Just Dance (Feb. 2010) and getting Walk It Out any day now (March 2010).
