"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life." -Tom Venuto
Its up to you to make your goals and dreams a reality! Take responsibility, and do your best each day to make progress. You are totally worth the effort, you know! I hope your week has been great so far.
Lying around, pondering the problems of the world, I realized that at my age I don't really give a rat's rump anymore... If walking is good for your health, the postman would be immortal... A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, but is still mostly blubber... A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years, while a tortoise doesn't run and does mostly nothing except eat, yet it lives for 150 years. And they tell us to exercise? I don't think so!
This tip is from Cleveland Clinic Chief Wellness Officer Mike Roizen, MD, from his new book, "This Is Your Do-Over". Here's a sneak peek at his essential do-over deeds.
We all have disagreements sometimes. Life isn't about holding hands and singing happy tunes to hide our troubles. However, you need to decide if you want to be a "but" or an "and" kind of person. The "but" people don't want solutions. They want to settle. They want to wallow in their misery.
The "and" people find solutions to problems. They inspire others to do their best. They contribute to the growth of people and ideas - and, ultimately, to the health of us all. Even if you are an avowed lifelong naysayer, you still have the opportunity to discover your inner enthusiast. Once you find your purpose and passion, your optimism will increase and your do-over becomes stronger and stronger. In the end, optimism is really just about cultivating happiness in your everyday moments.
