I can see how your running would frustrate you, but you are right about the weather. When it is that hot out, it is important to lower your expectations. It is definitely going to slow you down! Try to find other ways to encourage yourself. 1972 days ago
Hey there! I was looking back to my June 26 blog about running 10K on my treadmill, and I read your post. I started to wonder how you have done since then, and I read your August 17 blog about your motivation being absent. Have you been able to get your running endurance improved at all? I ran my 10K outside today, yes, just today. I was planning it for July 3, but various things have interrupted, and I only just got ready and out there today. It took me 1:36:23, and I am totally pleased with an improvement of nearly 15 minutes over my June TM time of 1:51:09. Just some inspiration that no matter how long it takes you to reach your goals, persevere, and you will achieve them! 1974 days ago
Thanks for the info. I recently had a P.E. and everything is good on that end. I dance, instruct fitness classes and run....a lot! I sweat a lot. I think I stay on the dehydrated side of life most of the time. Thirst has increased since the humidity is outrageous right now in the midwest! Sticky!!
I do keep in mind about the physical aspect of too much water.
Thank you for your comment on my blog. I am coming back from illness myself. I ran a HM in 2:38 last April, and in the fall I was sidelined with pneumonia for the second time in 18 months. I gained 40 pounds with my inability to run and stuffing my frustration and boredom with food. Now, I am getting my endurance built back up, and trying to stay positive in the face of adversity! If I can do it, so can you! Woot woot! 2033 days ago
