MOVE OVER FAT.........

I'm coming out kicking and screaming to BLAST through my current weight plateau. I have 20-25 more pounds that I want to lose to get to my weight loss goal. I dare anything.....even chocolate chip cookies to get in my way. I am going to LIVE OUT LOUD and let everyone know I plan on kicking fat in the a**!!! WANT TO JOIN ME??

I have lost 35 pounds in the last 10 months by living a healthy lifestyle that includes eating whole, unprocessed foods and exercising at least five days a week. The key to my success has been NOT DEPRIVING MYSELF! I allow myself a little chocolate everyday and with my schedule and family, find myself eating out at least four nights a week.

My Goals:
Jan- Feb: jumpstart my weight plateau with a cleanse. Lose 5lbs by 3/1.
(GOAL MET :) )

Run a 5k this spring. Looks like May 15th is the big day!

I would like to be down 5 more pounds by Spring Break (April 6)

Get back in the saddle weekly....literally...
Ride/lesson on my son's jumper mare at least once a week. I have high hopes of going out with the hounds and trying foxhunting or a hunter pace over the next year.



My Program:
The most important element in my weight loss success has been my diet. I try to eat only clean unprocessed foods. Lots of fruit and veggies with some whole grains thrown in as well as lean meat and of course, chocolate. I mean, what would life be with out it? I try to limit my alcohol to a few drinks once a week.

Workout regime:
5-6 days a week
cardio each day
elliptical 2x a week
Couch To 5k 3x week
Strength trng 4-5x week

Personal Information:
I'm Jules, a 43yo Georgia girl. I am a wife and also a mom to two great young men. I blog here and there as accountability for myself but I hope along the way that I may inspire others to make healthy lifestyle choices and changes.



Other Information:
I was shocked in to REALITY about my weight when I snapped a close up pic of my hubby on the beach last April. Upon viewing the photo on the display, my FAT body taking the pic showed up in the reflection of his sunglasses in the picture!!! HELLO!! OMG! At my largest ever (close to 200lbs) I vowed at that moment to WAKE-UP and DO SOMETHING WITH MY MISERABLE SELF. I have been working my butt off ever since and the hard work has paid off!

Soday Free Summer here I come!

How are you? Been thinking about you and wanted to check in to see how you are doing this fine Summer.

Decided to be more aggressive in my diet since I have been bouncing around all year 5 pounds and go to Yellowstone in two weeks for an adventure vacation.

It is day 8 of no diet cokes. I also decide to change my diet plan to be a little more aggressive and am now counting my carbs (and staying within the range of 150 net carbs), diet coke free, sugar free and trying to keep to a gluten free week. Day 4 of this plan.

Who knew giving up my favorite breads and caffeine would freak my body out so much. But this all tells me I am doing the right thing and that I need to ride this detox phase out.

i love that you refuse to deprive yrself, especially of chocolate! i think not feeling like i can't have what i want has been the key to eating reasonable amounts. great job so far!!!
