Hi, I'm Julie, I'm 43 & already looking at knee surgery. It's time for a change. I'm the mom of 2 & the grandmother of 2. I really want to be able to play with my grandkids without hurting or gasping for air.
My ticker says 299 but after I have my knee surgery I will be back to lose the rest of this weight. I just need to deal with this portion first.

I started back in January of this year at 419lbs. I was doing okay losing by myself but then in April I found Spark! What a difference the last few months have been. I have lost weight, made wonderful friendships, and learned so much about nutrition, exercise and what a GREAT motivator Coach Dean is.

As you all know I have a bad knee but what you don't know is I have been getting sick every other month with some kind of respiratory illness. I don't know what it is, it has stumped the doctors so far. I see an ENT on Thursday and pray that finally I will have a diagnosis and treatment.

All of this might stop me from working out but not from improving myself and losing weight. As of today I am down 83.2lbs. in total. Which means I have lost 20% of my body weight.
I'm so happy and excited to see what's next.

First thing to remember when you start updating things is to SAVE THE CHANGES!!!!!!!

Here we are starting another year. I'll start by saying I lost a total of 97lbs last year. Yes I did lose more but found that 8lbs. again. DARN! LOL I'n not too upset I have changed so much that I'm doing okay.
My knee is doing well I don't need my walker unless I have flare ups. I can carry my granddaughters now, which is new and GREAT! I decided to put off my surgery until I get down below 250. It will be better for me and for the Dr. Hopefully it will happen around late summer. I did go to the ENT and found out why I've been so sick, it was helped with me taking 3 extra pills a day. (something I can definitely live with.) I'm working with a trainer at the Y he is teaching me how to BOX the footwork and everything. ( no matter how bad you feel hitting that heavy bag or throwing punches at him you get all your anger out and feel like a new woman)

My son had to move into a new facility, the new one seems to answer all of my prayers. Hopefully that continues.

My daughter and her family are doing GREAT. The girls are getting Big.

The rest of my family have had some pretty big things going on but they are still plugging away.

My Goals:
1) I need to lose weight but I want to get healthy too.
2)I want to learn to be more adventurous!!
3)I want to learn to type..LOL (Navigating this sight I'm sure I will) Didn't happen but still working on it.

My Program:
1)I spend 4 days at the YMCA participating in water aerobics & swimming. ( I absolutely love it)
2)Also I'm eating a well- balanced eating plan.
3)I'm also doing a strength training workout 5-7 days at home.
