Welcome to the Jujubean Jar!

This is the place to come for the life and times of Julie, and my journey into health and fitness.

I've finally decided that I have let myself go for long enough. I need to lose this weight for my family, my future children, and most importantly for myself.

It won't hurt my wardrobe either. :) I'll need lots of help though. I'm counting you you Spark Community. :) I've been jumping on and off the wagon for over 3 years now and my legs are tired. I'm ready to stay on. I'm sick of running to catch up. I'm on now and I intend to stay there.

I know there will be moments that will be icy and dicey. I will have moments, and that's what I need y'all for. I have my family and my friends, but sometimes you just need that extra push.

I'm ready for it. I've been ready all my life.

My Goals:
~Shop in regular stores and not worry what size the pants go up to.

~HAVE NO DOUBLE CHIN

~Wear skirts without spandex pants because my legs rub together.

~To make my family (not to mention myself) proud!!!

~Duh, I'm on Sparkpeople!

~I'm trying to follow the Spark Meal Plan. I figure if I need someone to tell me what to eat why not SP?

~I'm going to workout with my Wii Personal Trainer. I'll let you know how it goes.

Originally I'm from Ohio, but currently I'm living in Vienna, VA.

I'm currently signed up to do substitute teaching in 2 local counties, but am still looking for my dream job. Looking to meet new people and make some new friends as I've only been living here since mid March.


Other Information:
I'm a book worm, I love to read and I am addicted to reality TV and email!!! :)

    Thanks for the blog post. I am trying to be positive. I lost 50 lbs a few years ago and gained it back. Like you I want to be healthy for my future children.     Hey JUJU! We are in similar boats. I have been so down on myself and have been making my family miserable with my defensiveness and short temper. Just ask my husband. I have started a diet to only stop in a week because of horrible cravings and stress. I am a bad pantry grazer. I can defintely understand your sadness. I lost 40 lbs 2yrs ago just to put it back on (partially due to pregnancy). It is bad when you don't want your husband to see you naked or to touch a "roll". I spend too much time in front of my closet to find something that fits other than t-shirt and stretch pants.
    Anyway, I live in Chesapeake. I am a great ear. You can do this! We can do this!
