On the road

Living on the road! I never imagined the challenge that was in front of me.

Today I start anew with a new mind set and a wonderful challenge.

After 3 months of living on the road in an RV, I have to admit to myself that this life and my diet health is a new challenge. I have also found that I am pre diabetic. 90% of our meals are eaten out and the temptations have won most of the battles. For Jan 2013, I start this year at 220 lbs. Today I start anew with a new mind set and a wonderful challenge.

After 3 months of living on the road in an RV, I have to admit to myself that this life and my diet health is a new challenge. I have also found that I am pre diabetic. 90% of our meals are eaten out and the temptations have won most of the battles. For Jan 2013, I start this year at 220 lbs. My new challenge and mindset is to seek and destroy the menu's at resturants and come up with a healthy meal. And to accompany that I will always have healthy snacks available while out and about. Also during January I will be working on February's challenge.

February's challenge will be to seek out and find fitness on the road. Living in the rv, leaves no room for treadmills or elipticals, and workout video's lol someone could get hurt. Because we travel to different areas daily and weekly, or monthly there is never a consistant exercise area available. While this is great because I will never get bored, I have been using it as an excuse. We are forever driving in the vehicle to witness Americas many beautiful vistas, therefore don't stop for much exercise. So my new challenge is to yell stop when I see an opportunity to jump out and grab some fitness minutes. Weather its a walking trail, a hill to climb, or even a hospital with flights of stairs to climb. I will also seek out gyms and see about their one day free trials, or just pay a fee if need be. Who know's maybe I'll become gym connesuer, lol.

So for now I have a 2 month goal with 2 challenges. I am excited already. I do not have a weight goal, because I need to tackle the first 2 challenges first. However I am sure to see some results on the scale while achieving these challenges.
