Looking to the Positive- Still
I lost the use of my leg in an accident in 2010. Life is full of change. I decided to make peace with change. I am still working on my fitness. I get a pass on a few things in life now, so I have more time to workout. I hope with hard work and weight loss I will be able to walk again some day. Maybe my loss can be your motivation. I get a pass on a few things in life now, so I have more time to workout. I hope with hard work and weight loss I will be able to walk again some day. Maybe my loss can be your motivation. If you have two good legs, get up on them and get going, while you still have time. Health is precious. July 2012 update- After working really hard I can do most things for myself as long as I pace myself. I even played a modified golf game this week. I am not done working yet, I hope to work hard and continue to improve. May 2011 update- I am able to take a few steps now, so I do it am much as I can in the house. Today the house, tomorrow the world. Feb 2012 update I am able to do so much now. I rarely use my wheelchair. I am able to drive and run errands by myself. My leg is still unstable but I am still working on it and every month I can do more for myself and my family. Never give up, never surrender. Original- I am looking to actually do the things I know I should. I have had success in the past but it did not last. I like the whole idea of this site, changing habits one small step at a time. Willpower does not work for long. I don't want weight to limit my life! Let's hear it for small positive steps! Be as good to yourself as you would be to others. YOU ARE WORTH IT. My Program:
Mar 2013 I am able to walk again, I still have two wheelchairs but I am not sure how long I will keep them. I started juicing in Nov of 2012 and it has been a great thing in my life I have only missed two days since I started. I also have started a 5-2 plan, where I eat minimally two days a week 600 Cal, and eat freely on the other days. Well, walking is out since I had an accident June 6 2010, so swimming and pool walking are my things now. Glad the docs were able to save my leg. I have two current problems that I think I can fix together. First my weight and fitness, second is too much reading to do. I am an investor and a School Board member. Both require tons of reading. So I am reading while walking. Check my blog for a link to "walking while working" it is a trend I like. Summer of 09 - I have added sprinting to my workouts and that has made a big difference. Fall of 09 I have added swimming with zoomer II fins and wow what a difference.
