UPDATE DECEMBER 2010
Now I see what happens when you leave SP.
Back up in weight.
Now have high BP and on medication.
My Dr says try South Beach so I started P1 today.
Will try my best to stay on track.

UPDATE: AUGUST 2009
Feeling very motivated to stay on track.
I am 61 years old. Down 20 pounds from when I started SP.
Working 11.5 hr nightshifts every weekend (thurs. fri. sat.).

UPDATE: June 2008
Out of retirement and back to work. Long night shifts on the weekends so we can still take care of the grandson during the week.

Jan 2008
I am a 60 year old retired nurse. After taking an early retirement, I settled into a very sedentary lifestyle and quickly gained 30 pounds added to my already overweight body.
I can't remember when weight loss was not at the top of my New Year's resolutions. I want to feel good again. Not be tired all the time. Be able to walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing when I get to the top.
We babysit for our 2 year old grandson while his parents are at work. I want to be able to run and play with him outside this summer. If I can make my goal of 2 pounds a week, I will lose the 50 pounds in time to do just that.
I plan to be fit and healthy with the help of SparkPeople!

Goal 1. First get to a healthy BMI

Goal 2. Get to my goal weight of 145 pounds. lose at least 1 pound per week.

Goal 3. Only weigh myself once a week.

I have a treadmill and a Wii EA Sports Active (which I love).
Watching the carbs and the calories.
