Every day is a weekend when you retire. I am taking better care of my self than when I was working.I am no longer in that rush mode.In the beginning I had an awful injury which forced me to retire at 65 So it was not so happy in the beginning for a whole year and I am still on the mend !! So I am actually just beginning to enjoy and relax !!

p.s. And yes, I used chalk paint on my vanity, white washed it and then used white and regular wax for distressing and sealing.

JUDY!!!!! What a kind of thoughtful comment you just wrote me. And you have such lovely ideas for me to venture out and consider. I would love to write a book about Lucy Lou, and one of these days I might just start. And organizing? Well, there are many millions of books out there for that, they don't need me to write another one. But if I am able to help anyone of you at ANYTIME, that serves the purpose for me well. Seriously, anytime you are having a rough time at it, do contact me and I will help you along. Here is my email: You can always reach me there. fredie@comcast.net Hugs dear one, fredie

Oh Judy, You sound like you have it all together, and that my friend is so fabulous...Really! Your love of staying healthy is so apparent; what a role model you are for so many people (sparkers) that are suffering. I wish you blog more about your daily life, not only helpful but it would be a tremendous example of showing that it isn't impossible. Living the dream can be done, can't it??????? You are one helluva "Sparkeroonie" Judy dearest. I am thrilled beyond words that we are friends. Hugs and more, fredie

judy, We are co-parenting so basically she and I share ownership. Lisa doesn't have to lifestyle to spend time assisting recovery in Lucy's life. She is raising two teenagers, has stairs galore in her home and seemingly can't possibly spend the effort taking care of her full time for approx 6.5 months of recovery. Lucy spends approx 90% of her time with me so this is the best choice for her well being. The first two weeks will be no movement except to the garden for bathroom trips and for the rest of the month, the mobility will be little. She will be watched carefully, I would imagine the surgeon and doctors will do blood clot prevention but I am not sure what that entails. I will know more as we get closer to the date of surgery. There is surgery for almost everything for animals these days, we are living in great times to help these beautiful creatures live longer and healthier lives.
