Every day is a weekend when you retire. I am taking better care of my self than when I was working.I am no longer in that rush mode.In the beginning I had an awful injury which forced me to retire at 65 So it was not so happy in the beginning for a whole year and I am still on the mend !! So I am actually just beginning to enjoy and relax !!

Thank you so much for your comment on my blog, and for sharing you mom's story with me. I am quite certain that whatever happens after tomorrow will be better than what I've been living with for the past few weeks. But I am planning on being pain-free in no time so I, too, can travel again. Thanks too for the prayers, I do so appreciate it.

Oooooooh Judy, what a beautiful and so very descriptive memory. I visualized everything as you so delicately described your moment, your special moment with the wild flowers. And I too was a bit of a wild child in the 60's as well. Though my days weren't in a field with the bunnies and deer and the morning dew, they were well spent at the ocean devouring the salt sea air and watching the waves pound the shores as the beautiful surfers would dance the ride on their boards...Yes, those were incredible days with Cat Stevens singing it is "a wild wild world..." it was Judy, wasn't it?

Thanks Judy for commenting on my blogs. Yes I upgraded to premium, and I am happy I did the upgrade. SparkCoach is free with premium, and you get rid of advertisements. You can get a weekly question or advice from a coach; I haven't done that often but they did respond with helpful tips when I asked anything. I chose the "just pay once" option at $29.99 for a lifetime Premium enrollment. Good luck getting back on track! (I gained weight in New Orleans, so I am working on getting back on track too).

We have snakes here in Central Oregon; diamondback rattlesnakes are the only poisonous ones. I've seen them a few times on the trails; they will slither off if you give them a chance.
