Getting There

Really became determined to get healthier (read lose weight) about a year ago but just found SP in January. The Nutrition and Fitness areas are really a good way to keep track of what I'm doing and keeping me on track. Lost 6 pounds in one year before SP and 6 since joining in Jan '07.

My Goals:
Main goal is to get to 150 pounds - but taking it at intervals of 5-10 to keep from getting discouraged.

My Program:
Finally got a bike and have ridden a few times. Hope to get out more this summer with my 12-year-old grandson. Will eventually get more into strength training.

Personal Information:
I live in Minnesota so winter is "hit the treadmill" time as our area does not have many sidewalks in my area, mostly fairly busy streets.

Other Information:
Love to read mysteries - especially Agatha Christie. Have all of her books, one that has some plays. Looking to get complete set of all her stories, plays and poems.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. Eating from a smaller plate sounds good. I have been trying that but never thought of a saucer. Duh! Good idea.
I need all the good ideas i can find. I am a slow loser but I really want to get this excess off for good. I am working on breaking a bunch of bad habits right now. I think that will help.
I see you read Agatha Christie. My favorite on is Curtains. I am a reader and read a lot. Especially enjoy Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown and Mercedes Lackey. I trade books with my friends so I am always reading something.
