Get there! Um.. just noticed your picture on the sparkpage is labeled with the date of 9-2013. I think you're a little ahead of yourself there! ;)

To add to my last post, in case you have a stationary bike without a display, the Livestrong website tells how to calculate distance without it. It sounds like a bit more thinking than I like to do, but then math has never been my thing. Hello calculator! emoticon

Here's the site:

I'm thrilled that you want to join my "bike around the world" goal! My stationary bike does the distance tracking for me, but when I am fit enough use my regular bike which is in the shed I will probably use Spark's fitness maps to plan a route and get the distance. Alternately, I could clock it by first driving the route in my car.

Here's the link for Spark's fitness maps:

Once I know how much I've biked, I Google to find which town represents the distance I biked. I use a start point of NYC, not because I live there because I don't, but because its the one place on earth that you can probably Google the distance to anywhere without haven't to spend hours trying to find the information. I also keep a list of what I've found on my computer so I don't have to always look up everything, although the list isn't huge.

Then I post the data on my SparkPage as I put in the mileage. That's all there is to it! Have fun! emoticon
