Without Struggle, their is no progress.

Hey everyone, my name is Jen. I'm 22 years old. I use to weigh 295 lbs about a year and a half ago. I am currently 188.5 lbs. I am 5'7 and my goal is to weigh around 155 lbs.

I would love to become a better runner and participate in a 5K.
Working out is a big stress reliever for me and I almost always workout every day, unless I am working.

Okay that's all for now. Would love to talk to motivational people who also want to lose weight and be in the best shape ...

My Goals:
Would love to tone my whole body and continue to lose weight.

I currently weigh around 182(on a good day), and my
goal is to weigh around 155.
I want to become a better runner. Training for a 5k. Just started and know I can complete a little more then 3 miles in 40-45 minutes. I want to reduce this time to the best of my ability.

Wan't to have a better outlook on my accomplishments and how far I've come in a 2 years. I use to weigh 295 lbs and it was one of the unhappiest times of my life ..and I'm only 22.

My Program:
I try to go to the gym everyday for atleast 2 hours. I do cardio for 45 mins to an hour..currently its been the treadmill, but I also did treadmill and bicycle.

I strength train for the remainder of my workout. I combine that with 3 sets of 20 full sit ups, and 3 sets of 20 pushups everyday I workout.

I also do walls holds and do strength training for my arms.

Personal Information:
You can add me on face book if you want, just ask me for it.=)

Other Information:
Starting weight on Spark people: 188.0
Current Weight: 179.2 lbs

Oh sweets! Judge? Ha ha, no way. Big weight losses INSPIRE me, it helps because I feel like what in the heck is taking me so long to lose 30/35 pounds? So when I see people who have lost more than that it kinda makes me think, get off my butt and DO IT! I think it is a beautiful thing when anyone takes controlof theirlife the way you have. Be proud of your great arms, and be gentle on yourself for the rest. Your working out like crazy and doing great. You can only continuously improve and only get better. Honestly, I need people like you around to remind me not to make excuses and just do it. Keep up the great work!!!

Hi! I am five foot three, medium frame. I think the only way of real toning (I am so with you on that one) is weight training, it is the one thing that truly changes your shape. That being said, I have the hardest time wanting to do anything but zumba! I was doing personal training for a while, and really noticed changes. I foind it near impossible to schedule with my work hours/babysitting issues. It was also expensive but im just feeling desperate. Please please post pics, it's hard to beleuve you have lost so much already but I deeply admire anyone with that kind success. Losing thirty pounds feels absolutely daunting. If I can find my chubby pics I will post them too, I'm really bad at computer stuff but will look through what my husband has downloaded. HUGE credit on going to the gym tired, I have a problem that if I'm sleep deprived, I don't work out, period. The idea sounds painful but ofcourse it would be a positive thing and nit hurt me in the least. Zumba went out the window when my three year old woke up with a raging ear infection. Seriously, I feel like there is always some obstacle! Tomorrow is a new day and I WILL do something. Post some more pics!!! emoticon

Hello! hon, I just keep looking at your beautiful pics and I just don't see it! You look amazing, how in the heck did you get so lucky with those genes? Nice!!!!! Your frame is just right. You have done so so so well, i know you will do well again. My highest weight (over 2 years ago, not pregnant) was 178. I had my second baby soon after, and got down to 167 (almost lost weight pregnant, weird). I have taken over three months to get to 152 and my goal is 135. I REALLY want to be 128 but I will revisit that later. I find this really really hard. Not justvthe motivation just the time commitment. I am tired a lot from commitments, work and my baby still wakes up during the night (nit my three year old, thank God) you must be tired too from all that you do!

Oh sweetie, diet is key...and that is the hardest part for me.
I can do crunches for~EVAH!!! ...but to stay away from the sweet treats is killer. I notice when I eat sweets/sugar my stomach immediately loses it's definition.

You are on the right track. What exercises are you doing for your core now?
