Jan's Health and Fitness Journey

I am committed to getting back to a healthy weight and state of mind. I had to stop running 3+ years ago because of a hip issue. 3 years later, new hip and up 50 lbs. It's time to get back exercising and eating well, even if I can't run. My goal is to first get below 200#. Ultimately I would down to 155 lbs.
I need to stop stress eating. My first goal on the eating front is to kick my sugar habit. I am going to eat whole foods as much as possible and substitute fruit for sugary ...

I recently gave up coffee which has actually helped me feel more awake. I don't miss the needing coffee headaches in the afternoon and nasty taste in my mouth.

My Goals:
Exercise at least 10 minutes per day for 30 days straight.

Eat whole foods as much as possible.

Kick sugar habit. Substitute whole fruit for sugary snacks.


My Program:
Eat a protein based breakfast. This is hard for me as a vegetarian. I can't eat whole eggs but I just figured out I can eat egg whites. I need to eat egg whites, greek yogurt, and other high protein options for breakfast.

Take a walk during lunch for after work.

Take light weights/bands to work so I can do Coach Nicole's short daily exercises at work.

Other Information:
I loved running.

I like reading, playing cello, taking walks, bike riding, listening to live music.
