Gearing up for another great hiking season. This year's goal is to hike all the Maine mountains that are 4,000 ft in elevation or higher. Katahdin is our next major climb!

I started a new step counting plan!
For the past 7 1/2 years, I have lived and worked the Spark Program. I am thrilled at the changes in my life. I'm healthier, happier, and reaching for new goals! I am the team leader of the Green Smoothies Spark Team, and I learn something new about health every day. I write a short blog every day, and many wonderful SparkFriends read them, and comment on my journey to health and wholeness. The best is here now, and I will continue to grow! 2017 will be the best year of my life!
I'm learning new skills like how to hula hoop and enjoying my life! Consistency is key! This summer, I created my own boot camp, and am focusing on exercising for an hour a day. Cross Fit and Firm Foundation are my friends!
Work the plan every day, and the plan will work for you! NO CHEATS!

Often, that plan has to be altered to keep up with my changing life. The more we're willing to adjust, the better off we are!

My Goals:
I was diagnosed on 1-3-11. My life has changed as I am taking control of my health by making better food choices.
I plan to hike Mt Monadnock with my grand kids this summer. I work hard at getting in my daily walk, bike ride or kayak ride and stretches. I also lift weights 3xs a week.


My Program:
I am a runner, a kayaker and a hiker. I am gearing up to volunteer this summer 2017 with the AMC, helping people hike in the White Mountains. I also plan to hike in Colorado, and hope to hike in Spain. I eat a low carb diet in order to control Type II Diabetes. It's working! I'm stronger and more confident! Thank you Lord Jesus!

Other Information:
I am a Special Education School teacher in Stoddard, NH. I am a Gramma, and I love God, life, friends and family. I also love to sew quilts and crafts.
