2/4/16 I'M BACK!!! and ready to do this again!! In 2007, I lost over 90 pounds in 1 year (see progress listed below) simply by portion control and 30 minutes of low impact exercise 5 times a week. I managed to maintain most of the loss for a couple of years. THEN, 2009 came along and BAM!! Life got my focus all clouded up. I was pregnant. I quit exercising for fear of losing the baby, began "eating for two" (although I KNOW that is an excuse to eat more than needed, it seemed OKAY at the time), and also earned a Master's degree and changed careers to teaching. Slowly, I gained almost all of the lost weight back. NOW -I ALREADY KNOW I CAN!! SO, LET'S DO THIS!

I fall into all of these reasons and I find it is so easy to talk myself into eating for these reasons. I must learn to talk myself out of eating for these reasons!

01/11/08 - 152.8 lbs -lost 90 lbs in 1 year! Getting close to goal, loss is slowing. - plus doesn't help that I've been snacking more! Eating for the reasons listed above - must stop!

My Goals:
I am trying to reach my long-term goal of losing about 70 pounds by setting short-term goals of 10 pounds at a time.


My Program:
I am walking at least 1 mile per day (on feel good days, I'll do 2) at a fast pace 5x per week. Some days this is done with the Walk Away the Pounds video. Plan to incorporate a little strength training 3x per week.

Eating plan - start out calorie counting. Eat foods I like, but strict portion control. Plan to eat healthier foods by changing only one habit per every couple weeks.

My husband and I are avid hunters. We eat a lot of wild game and save on our grocery bill, or, maybe not due to the hunting equipment expenses. Oh well... we enjoy it.
