One Step at a Time...

I want to loose weight which I have put on over the last ten years. I want to feel great about myself and change to a healthier lifestyle one small step at a time. Small changes in my habits every day will lead to big changes down the road!

As I have continued down this weight loss journey, I am grateful for my family and new friends I have found on this site. I understand now that the power to change my life really comes down to being consistent and moving forward-even if I ...

As I have continued down this weight loss journey, I am grateful for my family and new friends I have found on this site. I understand now that the power to change my life really comes down to being consistent and moving forward-even if I step backward every once in a while (see #4 in My Program).

After reading "you" on page 63 of The Spark, I had to contact you.

I am 58 and was born in 1951 with no hip sockets; I was diagnosed early and wore a 36" metal bar attached to my shoes (sounds really long but that is what my mother told me) and I wore it for 2 years I believe.

Other than hip pain in my youth, I am a normal adult in every sense of the word. I am only limited by my own boundaries. Even on an X-ray, doctors cannot see my original severe hip dysplasia (I didn't even know that word until I got a puppy with the same condition!)

I wanted you to know that your daughter will be able to do anything she sets her mind to!

And you will too! You can do this! You can reach your goal weight, One day at a time, One pound at a time! If I can reach mine after 16 months and 90 lbs, starting at age 56 - then you can lose your 20 lbs if you follow the Spark Program and the example your wonderful daughter is setting for you!

Love you, Spark ON!
Linda
