I am starting my mission to lose thirty pounds and keep it off. I just graduated college, am trying to find my first real job and will be celebrating my 6th anniversary with my husband next week! I've been going through a few "lifestyle changes" (college being over, stress of jobhunt, moving etc...) and now I have my priorities in order. I've been going through a few "lifestyle changes" (college being over, stress of jobhunt, moving etc...) and now I have my priorities in order. I have PCOS and depression/anxiety, so exercising and eating well will help me in the long run in addition to my self esteem increasing from looking/feeling better after I reach my weight loss goal.

I am looking for a sparkbuddy too, to help me by sharing their success/progress, and by helping me to not think in an all or nothing way about diet/exercise.

It is first of all FUN, second it is NOT a boot camp type ... it is about adding a few extra things to your day to give you a BIG advantage in reaching your goals..... Everyone has a few minutes they can QUICK FIRE through the day. If you spend your day at a desk, take a few minutes every 2 hours to get up, get moving and get closer to a body you can be proud of. You will return to your desk refreshed, with more mental clarity and a renewed sense to continue working knowing you are closer to reaching your fitness goals. Giving your metabolism a QUICK FIRE boost several times through the day, adds up to more fat burning.

Just saw your comment on my SparkPage this morning. With the blizzard conditions here, I spent most of the last week (2/1- 2/6) working in the ER at my real job. What a relief to be able to come home, sleep in my own bed, and see all my kids!!!!

Keep up the good work, good luck in the jobhunt, and congratulations on graduating from college! I'm not sure what area you live, but check around - there may be some volunteer fire departments in your area that will enable you to reach out and touch your dream of being a firefighter.

Hi! I saw that you needed a SparkBuddy, and we have a friend in common (Tisha). I'd be happy to encourage, support and motivate you. I also struggle with depression and anxiety. I look forward to getting to know you!

Thanks for the encouragement on my page and I am happy we can relate to these situations. I would not want anyone to deal with my kind of problems, but it is good to know we are not alone sometimes. I will help you with as much as I possibly can so if you need me just ask! Thanks again and hope your day is bright and you journey is endless. emoticon
