Can I Break This Cycle?

I have been overweight most of my life. I've overcome having a gorgeous son throughout having kidney disease and ultimately a kidney transplant. Why does that seem easier than losing/keeping weight off?

Staying in my recommended nutition levels.

Learning how to add activity to my daily routine.

Personal Information:
I have dealt with weight issues my entire life. I have never been one to think twice about taking care of myself. Then I was diagnosed with FSGS back in 2003. I was blessed to receive a new kidney from a deceased doner in May 2011. And now I feel that this blessing truly gives me a 2nd chance for so many things. It took me a long time to be in the right mindset, but I want to do this the right way not only for myself, but also to show the soul that gave me this blessing that I won't waste the gift given to me.

Definitely check the book out - it talks about how we argue with ourselves about whether or not to eat foods (and even better - how to combat that internal battle!). I hope you like it as much as I did :)

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my blog! Sorry to hear that you have stalled in your journey but I am glad to hear that you are no longer satisfied! We can definitely get satisfied with having some success and stop pushing ourselves. But why? Why not push for extraordinary? I love that you are daring to want more for yourself! You can do it!

Hey, July 4th is tough! There are so many good foods out there - BBQ (which can be good or bad, depending on what's in it), chips and hot dogs and ice cream! I definitely think if you can nip the debate your brain has over the food and move on, you will lose the desire for the food!

emoticon I know you can do it! emoticon
