I am 28 years old and have lost who I am. 4 years ago, I felt Ike I was on the perfect path and had control of who I was and where I was going. I just graduated from grad school, got a great job as a physical therapist, and was devoted not only to my job, but to myself and my friends.

Just at this time, I lost all control when I seriously injured my knee and required 2 surgeries and intensive therapy. I had to give up my job and I lost control over the whole me and had to focus on my knee. Since I didn't have a job, I didn't have any income and began eating foods that were cheaper rather than healthier. Since my knee was so painful, I couldn't sustain the intense level of exercise my body was accustomed to. Additionally, all of this, made me a bit depressed, so I turned to comfort foods which made me feel better mentally. This all led to me gaining 40 pounds!

Fast forward a few years. My knee feels a bit better, but still gives me a lot of trouble. I began feeling miserable about the way I looked. I managed to lose about 10 pounds which made me feel a little better. But still, I don't feel like me.

I am now resolved to get myself back to being me! I need to lose the remaining 30 pounds! I know it will make me feel better both mentally and physically. I need to be back in control of my life and stop letting life control me!

My Goals:
Long Term Goals (Through November)

1) Lose 30 pounds by November 26, 2011 (Class reunion)

2)Run a 5K in approximately 30 minutes

3) Fit into a size 4-6.

4) Stay within my ranges every day!

Mid Range Goals: (Through September)

1) Lose 20 pounds by September 31, 2011

2) Run a 5K between July and August--Can run a 5K, but July/August was too hot for my first. Looking to do a Turkey Trot in November

3)Exercise for 60 minutes at least 3x/week --MET

4) Fit into a size 8 --MET

5) Stay within my ranges at least 6 days/ week --MET

Short Term Goals (through July)

1) Lose 10 pounds by July 31, 2011 --MET

2) Exercise for at least 10 minutes everyday. --MET

3) Stay within my ranges at least 5 days a week (hopefully 7, but its hard sometimes). --MET

4) Ditch the size 12s and fit comfortably into my 10s. --MET! Officially donated 12s and 10s to Goodwill.

My Program:
Diet: Eating 5-6 small meals per day. Lots of protein, lots of vegetables, choosing healthy carbs (not the bad ones that I like most)

Exercise:6x/week cardio, strength training. 7th day for rest/walking
