My Goals:
I met my first goal of 20 pound weight loss 11/2009, 4 months after starting this journey. I met my new goal of 25 pounds lost 3 months later. I went back to work 2/2010 and had a desk job. Slowly, some of the weight crept back on. I quit work 7/8/2011 and have returned to my quest for reducing those few extra pounds again. My starting date for this challenge to myself was 07/06/09.
My Program:
I walk, do Wii or some other kind of movement daily. I try to do hand weights and floor exercise 3 times a week. The most helpful thing is being able to post all of my foods for my nutritional counts. Nearly everything I eat is weighed on my Cuisinart scale - a worthwhile investment! I am also drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day which is nothing new for me. Water is always my drink of choice.
Personal Information:
Raleigh, NC has been my home for the past 25 years and I love the temperate climate!
Other Information:
Reading has become my renewed passion! I also listen to audiobooks while I do my walking. It really helps pass the time. I love to cook and travel. Handcrafts are a passion of mine and I am currently working on several knit and crochet projects. I have recently learned to spin (yarn!). I also organize a crochet group on meetup.com and have met some wonderful ladies through that!
