Something to remember: A TRUISM: Action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job...the first week is the hardest, but after seeing results, it keeps you going.

Born in Fresno, CA I am a CA girl at heart, even tho I have lived all over the place. My email address is nomomoving, so you get the picture!! I love the Bay Area and I am home to stay. I have been heavy for 30 years and am 69 now. It is bad enough being old, I don't have to add overweight to it!! I need to take care of my health. Married 51 years to my H.S. sweetheart, 2 kids, 2 grandkids, 2 great grandsons and 1 spoiled cat. As you can see, we love to travel. but I love to come home!

Hey Joye! I am going to be tracking my food, so yes calories will def be part of it. Not sure exactly how many I need. I need to call my docs office and find out the exact values. I went to the doc office today and saw an associate doc b/c mine was booked. She lives her life low carb. I've seen her before and she's really cool and encouraging and knows her stuff about low carb. So now I'm def going back to low carb, which I was already doing but I was going to have sweet potato chips and whole grain pasta, etc. Well on her plan you don't have those things. I can have a regular sweet potato about once a week and I can have Dreamfield's pasta instead of whole grain/wheat b/c the amount of digestible carbs is way lower. I can have greek yogurt and berries this time around too. She also wants me to eat every 3 hours or so which I was already reading about in Jorge Cruise's book 'The 3 Hour Diet'. So it's very healthy and not as strict as what I did last year. Long answer to your question, but I wanted to update you also on what's going on and what I've FINALLY settled on. Lol. I just did a blog about it if you wanna check it out. How are YOU?

Thx for the comment on my last blog! I just wrote you back in email and actually after looking at my last weigh in, I'm closer to 5 lbs lost since last Fri! I had said 4 in the email. Anywho I really appreciate your words of encouragement on my blog. :)
